A MIG/MAG welder is a professional who performs semi-automatic electric arc welding using a consumable wire electrode in a shielding gas atmosphere. This method, also known as Metal Inert/Active Gas welding, involves feeding a wire electrode through a welding gun while simultaneously supplying a shielding gas to protect the weld area from atmospheric contamination.
